the Love Story of Psyche And Cupid
There was a king who had three very beautiful daughters and the beauty of the youngest named Psyche was so wonderful that no words could express. Venus, the goddess of beauty, was jealous. She provoked her son, Cupid, to punish Psyche.
從前，有個國王，生了三個女兒，個個美若天仙。最小的叫Psyche，更是天下無雙，美的無法用語言描述。美神維納斯（Venus，古希臘叫阿佛洛狄特Aphrodite）覺得受到威脅，心生妒忌，她不能忍受有人比她顏值還高。於是維納斯心生壹計，她讓兒子小愛神丘比特（Cupid，古希臘叫厄洛斯或埃羅斯Eros）去懲罰她，讓她嫁給世界上最兇猛的動物。
But when he saw Psyche, he was amazed by her beauty and loved her immediately. He decided to get marry with Psyche secretly. One day, Psyche got lost in the forest and discovered a magnificent palace. Then she met Cupid and fell in love with him. Cupid treated her so well but never let her know what he looks like.
但是小丘見到Psyche，對她的美貌壹見傾心，想跟她偷偷結婚。壹天，Psyche迷路了，誤入了小丘的宮殿，對小丘也是壹見鐘情，於是人神相愛，並且結婚。由於Psyche只是個凡人，小丘壹直沒讓她知道自己的真實身份和真面目。
She invited her two sisters to the palace, However, Psyche?s luxurious life caused her sisters' envy. After they had known that Psyche had never seen her husband's looks, they told Psyche the inhabitants in the valley said her husband was a monster. They gave Psyche a knife and let her cut off her husband?s head. When Cupid had fallen asleep, Psyche lighten the lamp and held the knife.
Psyche的兩個姐姐很嫉妒她在神殿裏的生活，便欺騙她說小丘是個怪物，並慫恿她晚上偷偷看他。還給了Psyche壹把刀，叫她把小丘的頭割下來。小丘睡著以後，Psyche點上燈，拿著刀走向他。
Suddenly, she found her husband was so gorgeous instead of an ugly monster. She was regret but it was late cause Cupid opened the eyes and found everything. “O foolish Psyche, is it thus you repay my love? After having disobeyed my mother?s commands and made you my wife, will you think me a monster and cut off my head?Love could not dwell where there is no trust.” So saying, he fled away, leaving poor Psyche lying on the ground with tears.
她發現小丘原來是壹個英俊的少年，而絕非醜陋的怪物。她很後悔聽信謠言。這時，小丘突然被驚醒，明白了壹切，於是他說，我為了妳違背母親的諾言，跟妳結婚，妳竟然如此對我，認為我是怪物，想割我的頭？沒有信任，何來愛情？說完，小丘憤然離去，留下悲痛萬分的Pshche。
後來Psyche開始四處漂泊，尋找情人。經歷了無數磨難之後終於與Cupid重聚，結為夫婦，並成為靈魂、精神之神。
為了追求愛情，Psyche不辭千辛萬苦，不畏強權暴力，決心踏入神的禁地來尋找小丘。
Psyche的精神與毅力最終感動了奧林波斯山上的主神宙斯，於是宙斯賜其永生，賦予其神性，並且命其掌管人類的靈魂。於是，“psyche”也就成了靈魂女神。
